great quotation. being fiscally responsible is really about appreciating what you have now. not living based on how you think you should live (above one's means) or about denying oneself completely (to save for the future). thanks for sharing. this is very grounding...especially as i adjust to this new found life in reality (which has made me grumpy)!

Hmm. I just wanted to say "hurrah" when I saw your emergency fund number. Now that makes me a total geek, but that's fine by me... I think the emergency fund needs more press! Keep it up.
