Since we're starting our Year of Bizarro World Limited Spending on January 1st, we decided to run to the mall last night for some last minute spending. Our excuse was that we had to exchange a shirt, but as traffic was bad, we decided to stop off for a bite to eat and then wandered into a Best Buy where we bought a VCR/DVD recorder because our VCR died last week. We were afraid that if we didn't buy it before the first of the year, we wouldn't be able to buy one later. The mall just wore us out and made us see how much useless stuff is being bought and sold as necessary essentials. It made us resolve to avoid them in the upcoming year. Our total spending for last night: $351. Ugh!
